5 Teas for Soothing Sore Throats & Coughs | Cold & Flu Teas

Now that COVID restrictions have eased and Australians are back socialising, this cold and flu season has hit us like a truck. I don’t know about you, but personally I have been sick with a different strain of virus every two weeks. From the flu, common cold, influenza to bronchitis, COVID isn’t the only infection that has struck me down this winter. Speaking to people at work and my friends and family, it seems we’re all in the same boat.

During my weeks of staying home to rest my lungs and poor weary head, I have been using a lot of home remedies and drinking tea to support my immune system. Our immune system works hard to fight infection, so we need to support our body by providing it with the necessary vitamins and minerals to give it the strength to keep supporting us. So while I have been dosing up on medicine, I have also been drinking lots of hot tea to help relieve some of my symptoms.

Below, I list the teas I have been drinking and what symptoms they help to relieve.
