What's The Difference Between Our Chai Teas?

Welcome to our wonderful world of Chai tea! My names Gina (Marketer for Dynasty of Tea and daughter in-law to our Tea Master and owner Donna). Chai blends originate from India, funny enough ‘chai’ means ‘tea’ in Indian. So you could call it ‘tea tea’ instead but I’m sure not many people will know what you’re asking for! These delicious blends usually consist of a black tea mixed with various spices. I’ll be taking you through our chai range, the difference between our blends and what each chai tea has to offer, from their flavour profiles to their health benefits.

1. Masala Chai

A delicious combination of black tea and spices including: cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, star anise, black peppercorns. This chai is silky, aromatic and malty with notes of honey, citrus and spice. It’s so fresh that you don’t even need to add milk, just hot water will do. But if made with added milk, this chai tea is so creamy and some cinnamon added on top as a garnish will complete this cup of tea!

Health Benefits

This chai is great for an energy boost and may strengthen your immunity, fight bloating and reduce bad breath.

2. Turmeric Chai

A stunning combination black tea, spices and turmeric root, our Turmeric Chai is delicious. The sweetness of the chai balances the astringency of the turmeric perfectly. It smells heavenly too, with notes of cloves, cardamom, star anise, orange and ginger. And if this chai couldn't get any better, it is filled with potential health benefits. If you love our Masala Chai the only difference between these two is.. well if you haven’t already guessed it, Turmeric! Turmeric has an abundance of antioxidant properties, may aid kidney health, arthritis and muscle soreness.

Health Benefits

It may help reduce inflammation, improve brain function and reduce risk of heart disease.

3. Caramel Masala Chai

A toffee-caramel delight, this creamy spiced chai has the perfect natural sweetness. Assam black tea blended with spices like cinnamon, cardamom, star anise and cloves, this creamy caramel chai has the perfect natural sweetness, making it a cozy drink on a cold day. This masala chai blend differs from the others because of the two added ingredients ginger root and natural caramel flavouring. Yes, we heard all you sweet tooths out there and created this blend for our customers who love a classic chai with extra sweetness! Sugar and spice is a great duo!

Health Benefits

May help boost immune system, aid digestion, fight bloating and alleviate nausea.

4. Raw Sticky Chai

This chai is sweet, sticky and seriously addictive. A combination of spice and honey that will leave your mouth watering. It has a buttery toffee flavour with beautiful layering of all the spices it contains. This chai blend looks a bit different to our other chai’s, It’s STICKY and in a good way! All the ingredients are combined together with honey, making this chai a gorgeous tea to brew. Highly aromatic and perfect for when you’re feeling a bit under the weather.

Health Benefits

Sip into wellness with this chai as it offers an energy boost, full of antioxidants, may aid inflammation and a great blood sugar balancer.
