6 Wonderful Things You Can Do With Black Wolfberry
Black wolfberry has an extraordinary natural colouring ability. When brewed, it turns the water a stunning purple colour, but this isn’t the magical part. The magic comes when something acidic is added to the black wolfberry herbal tea and the colour changes from purple to bright pink. There is also some magic in the vast number of health benefits that this berry has.
Black Wolfberry, otherwise known as black goji berry, is a cousin of the classic red goji berry, the super food that we all love to add to our cereal, nut mix and smoothies. Black wolfberry can be used and consumed the exact same way as red goji berries.
This berry has been used in Asian cuisine for centuries for its amazing health benefits. In China, this herbal tea is used to settle stomachs, aid digestion, reduce menopausal and menstrual symptoms, dizziness, bad cholesterol, maintain eye and liver health, relieve heartburn, acid reflux and abdominal pain.
Below are 8 different ways that you can include Black Wolfberry into your foods & beverages.

2. BLACK GOJI BERRY PURPLE ‘NICECREAM’
Who doesn’t love a refreshing nicecream? Add an antioxidant hit to your next smoothie bowl or nicecream by blending black wolfberry through it. Simply blend frozen bananas, some of your favourite milk and a handful of black wolfberries. I even like to use black wolfberry as a garnish, instead of using red goji berries.

3. BLACK WOLFBERRY PURPLE POPSICLES
A delicious summer treat, and super easy to make! These are healthier for you than regular popsicles, because you get to choose how you sweeten it. All you will need black wolfberry, a sweetener, water and popsicle moulds. I like to use honey or natural stevia to sweeten my homemade popsicles. Simply brew the black wolfberry according to these brew instructions, mix in a sweetener and then pour into moulds and pop in the fridge. Easy as that!

4. NATURAL FOOD DYE
Have some fun with your cooking and add a burst of colour by adding black wolfberry tea to you icing powder. Want purple/bluish icing? Use black wolfberry herbal tea by itself. Want pink icing? Add a splash of lemon juice to your black wolfberry tea before combining it with the icing. If you are looking for a natural red coloured icing, try using our hibiscus herbal tea.

6. MAGIC ICE CUBES
My favourite party trick! Freezing black wolfberry tea into ice cubes is a cool and funky way to jazz up any beverage. I personally love adding them to a punch or cocktail and watching them melt and transform the colour of any drink. Watch the purple ice cubes change your lemonade or tonic water to a bright pink colour!
